The Village Vet is a complete, full service, state-of-the-art medical facility. Like people, animals benefit greatly from regular examinations to maintain optimum health. Maintaining Well-Being

Preventative Health Care

We emphasize giving your pet a long, healthy life. We focus on wellness and preventative health while guiding the owner toward appropriate health care decisions.

General Medicine

As your “Other Family Doctor” we are versed in handling a broad range of medical issues.

Dentistry

We provide general dental prophylaxis as well as diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including dental radiography, extractions, minor oral surgery and periodontal therapy.

Therapeutic diets and other pet health care products

We stock a wide variety of specialty and prescription diets.

In-house Pharmacy

We stock a broad range of medications in our pharmacy. We will provide prescriptions for any item that we do not have at our facility.

When Your Pet Needs Extra Attention

General Surgery

All routine surgical procedures as well as some complex surgeries are performed on site.

In-house Laboratory

We provide on-site blood work, urinalysis, and parasite detection.

In-house Radiography

As part of our full-service capabilities, complete X-rays can be taken on site, including dental X-rays, to help diagnose and monitor medical and surgical conditions.

Pain Management

We provide thoughtful and proactive pain management during and after surgical procedures.

Allergy testing

Many animals have sensitivities to environmental allergens. We work with a referral laboratory to diagnose your pet’s allergies and customize allergy serums for your pet’s specific needs.

Referrals

As general practitioners there are times when certain medical issues are beyond our scope of expertise and the best interest of our patient is served by referral to a specialist. Such specialties include ultrasounds, radiography consultation, ophthalmology, complex surgical procedures or medical conditions, physical therapy and complementary therapies including acupuncture and chiropractic.
